About Brick City Towing
We're a locally owned, family-run tow company serving Newark and the surrounding Essex County towns. Not a franchise, not a national dispatch app that sells your call to the lowest bidder. When you call (862) 369-7600, you're reaching people who actually live and work here and know the difference between the Ironbound and the North Ward without checking a map.
Fifteen Years On These Streets
Our lead operator, Mike, spent eleven years running a rotator for a heavy-recovery outfit on the Turnpike before he came over to us, so there is very little he hasn't pulled out of a bad spot. That's the kind of experience that matters at 2 a.m. on an icy overpass. We've towed everything from a mayor's stalled sedan (no names) to a jackknifed box truck on Doremus Ave, and we bring the same care to a college kid's dead Corolla as we do to a commercial fleet job.
The Big Names, and Us
We know you've got options. AAA's roadside plan, the app-based services like Honk and Urgently, the outfits that pop up first when you search. Plenty of them are fine. But a national plan often means an hour-plus wait while they find whoever's nearest and cheapest, and the app services tack on their own cut. We ask for a shot at your call because a local truck is usually closer, usually faster, and you can talk to a human. Give us a chance.
Everything We Offer
Local & long-distance towing, flatbed towing, heavy-duty and truck towing, motorcycle towing, accident and collision recovery, winch-outs and off-road recovery, roadside assistance, jump starts, flat-tire changes, emergency fuel delivery, car lockouts, and private-property towing. We also do vehicle relocation for property managers, scrap/junk car pickup, and equipment moves. Serving Newark and many more cities across Essex County and beyond.
A Note From The Owner
I grew up off Ferry Street and spent my twenties working the counter and then the trucks for one of the bigger
outfits in the area, and honestly I got tired of watching people get quoted one price on the phone and handed
another when the truck showed up. Started Brick City in 2011 with a single rollback I bought used off a guy in
Kearny, my cousin riding shotgun on the night calls. We're bigger now but the rule hasn't changed: tell people the
truth, show up when you say you will, and treat their car like it's your mother's. That's the whole business.
– Tony F., Owner
These are my go-to now. Third time using them, always straight with the price.
– Kevin R.Tony himself came out on a Sunday when my classic wouldn't start. Treated it like gold.
